Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I love pizza. I love hot, fresh pizza. I love lots of interesting toppings on a uniquely crunchy crust. Which Georgio's usually has... I'll keep this one short. They make good pizza (I think the gyro is my favorite) that will keep you full, if not also entertained by the sheer creations they conjure up. When it's good, it's pretty darn good. That said, when it's bad, well... What can I say? Same problem of reheating old pizza at other places - after it's being sitting out for a while, it ain't getting any better. So, how about a deal then? Ya know, it is kind of pricey if you're hungry: 2 slices of a premium pie and a drink is easily $10. I also agree with some of the comments about cleanliness; with few customers in the dining room, i"d expect a more frequent wipe down. Another issue is the inconsistent hours. They're open late, not open, not sure.... okay, I'll go to the other location (which would elicit a similar review for food in my book) - whoops, they're not open either. Maybe I missed something, but the posted hours don't seem to match the operating hours. Bottom line, when all cylinders are firing, this is a solid 4. Lately, one seems to be fouled, though.

Last visit 7/2013 Number of visits: 10+ This is primarily a pizza by the slice place. I primarily go here for lunch with coworkers, but it is also open late night. The selection is good and rather atypical. The options change somewhat depending on when you go, but can include such choices for toppings as macaroni and cheese, gyro, greek salad, nacho, potato, chicken/eggplant parmasean, along with the more traditional, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, etc. This place is pretty popular with some of my friends/coworkers, but for me, the pizza doesn't taste fresh and hot enough. It sits out and then rewarm it when you order, as it is a pizza by the slice place. Also, I think it can be a bit pricey, though I can forgive that somewhat based on the expansive selection. Most of the times I have been here, it has been the same two or three people working (from the same family I would guess) and they have been very friendly/welcoming. I don't think this is a bad place to get pizza, but it's not amazing either.

A little pricey. I think they should be a little cheaper for those students. However, the food was good but the dough was not cooked all the way :( We were already a mile down the road when I took a bite out of it. It was an okay experience. But being from CHICAGO they are FAR from Great pizza.

GROUPON-ER's BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a Groupon for georgio's. When I ordered my pizza for the grand river location I made it clear that I would be paying with a groupon and asked if that location was accepting them. The gentleman on the phone said"yes we take the groupon here". When I came in to pick up the pizza I was shocked when I went to go pay and the gentleman working told me he was not going to accept the Groupon(I had just purchased it so no it had not expired). He told me that the other location on Charles St. would take it but he was not going to do anything with it. So I said "fine I will just go to the Charles st. location and order there" he then DEMANDED I take my debit card out and pay for the pizza he already made at full price and told me I was not going to go to the other location. needless to say I paid for the pizza at full price(Pi**ed) and left. I am returning my goupons and wont be doing business here. The pizza itself was ok, nothing special, and not a ton of flavor to it.

With the floors being redone we are not allowed back in the house for a while so my girlfriend and I took the kids to lunch. There is a pizza place just off campus called Georgio's Gourmet Pizza that is a perfect place to take a group of people or just yourself. Georgio's makes New York style pizza, served by the slice or the pie. They have such a ginormous selection of pizza that even the pickiest eater could find something they like. In this case, one chose the cheesy bread sticks and the other chose a slice of cheese. The rest of us on the other hand had a much harder decision, because all the pizzas looked delicious. My son finally chose the Nacho pizza, that was topped with jalepenos. An 11 yo boy, 4 girls, jalapenos, and a bet leads to a lot of giggles and the need for milk. My girlfriend and I couldn't decide between the black bean and the veggie delux. So we compromised and got both and slit them!!! Yes! Best lunch ever! Veggies, veggies and more veggies. This pizza has a crispy crust and gooey cheese. Literally, the best pizza in the Lansing area! My son said, "this pizza is awesome, can we come here more often?" Of course we can and we will because I was very happy with my lunch. For eat in or take out, Georgio's is a great choice. Happy Eating!

Back in town for the holidays and had to stop at my favorite pizza place. Great to see Georgios hasn't changed like everyone else - - still making high quality and tasty pizza! The Gyro is my favorite and it was awesome as usual. Tried the new salad pizza - quite tasty and flavorful, and it looked so aesthetically pleasing as well (see pic). They had egg plant, potato with bacon, spinach pie, meat pie, black bean (another fave), chicken, pesto with tomato, too many to recall! They also make gluten free pizzas - - yeee HAW!! I also like this location because they leave the squeeze bottle of sour cream out in the lobby for the customers to have-at-it (goes best with the potato pizzas) - - so yeah, have some pizza with your sour cream why don't ya? They're good like that. It's very clean here and they are always so friendly and customer service oriented here, they are eager to please. Still the best place for pizza hands down in my book!

Georgio's serves pizzas that I'm certain were concocted by college boys with a serious case of the munchies at 2 AM. Some of the creative slices are loaded potato pizza, gyro pizza, salad pizza, and nacho pizza, among other kooky combos and all the staples. The toppings are extremely generous - cheese is rarely visible. One slice is always enough, even for my husband. On the sweeter side, they offer a pretty good cinnamon rice pudding. I prefer this location to the other one, as the parking is a breeze here and the staff is more professional. For a quick work week lunch, Georgio's is always a contender.

Continues to kick out a five star pizza. You never know what kind of slices are going to be ready, but vegetarians & carnivores will probably find an interesting combination to their taste. Took home a large pie of my favorite combo, just plain ole' cheese & mushrooms. Fresh shrooms, a great crust - thin on the bottom but crispy/puffy around the edges. Good balance of sauce (I'm sure you can ask for extra, if that's your proclivity.) And it's perfect reheated (puhleeze don't reheat your pizza in a microwave, no matter how serious your munchies are. Do it right, in an oven or toaster oven. Your patience will be rewarded.) Staff has always been appreciative, thanking us as we left. The Grand River location is consistently excellent. I like the Charles St location as well, but I have had a mediocre assembly there once.

I'm going to start out with full-disclosure, this isn't my top spot for pizza regardless of a recent experience. To me, the pizza is usually so-so, with kinda doughy crust on the inside. The topping choices are fun, but I rather have a well-made pizza with less topping options than a so-so pie with a bunch. I went to this location with some co-workers for lunch a couple weeks ago, and it didn't go well. I ordered two slices, and one had a piece of hair on it. I'd had it for such a short amount of time, that I didn't think it could be my hair. Now, it was dark like mine, so it's not impossible. Not thinking it was though, I brought it back. The manager immediately acted like I was trying to pull a con and said, "If you say it's so, I have no choice but to believe you". Then he and the kid behind the counter continued to snipe about it as I was walking away, with the younger of the two saying "It's not my hair, my hair is a prettier color". They kept snickering and being snide until I turned back to look at them. When the manager brought over my replacement slice, he was more gracious and polite, but after the comment before it was hard to take that as sincerity. Had I been the driver, I'd have left. As it is, I just won't be back.

The pizza was above average and it was great to be able to order slices of different types. I skipped the salads as they didn't look all that fresh or exciting. The atmosphere left much to be desired. The tables hadn't been wiped and ours smelled a bit. The rambunctious children didn't help, but that's more of a personal issue. I would recommend taking out if you're looking to spend some time over dinner.

My husband and I didn't want to venture out into East Lansing on a game day, but we wanted pizza so we ordered from Georgio's. I love crazy toppings and the ability to order several slices of different kinds of pizza, so it was a success! We got the mac n cheese (rich but fun and tasty), veggie deluxe (not really deluxe but a solid normal veg), eggplant parmesan (yum!!), and pesto tomato (also yum). I really loved the crust - it was a great compromise between thick and thin crust - crunchy on the outside, but thick enough to have a chewy middle. I loved it! We'll definitely be ordering from Georgio's again.

I love the eggplant Parmesan and the salad pizza. If a town is going to insist on bar food as the regional cuisine, this place does the best pizza interpretations of "variety." We get it for some MSU meetings and it draws crowds.

I love having a diverse selection of pizza ready for me at a moments notice. Their spinach pizza isn't more flavorful than the cheesy Deluca's, but I'd say its probably much more healthy. With options like black bean pizza, chicken parmesean, and the like, you'll most likely find a favorite or something new each time.

Great premade pies with tons of creative toppings, i.e. BBQ chicken, super meaty stuffed pizza. Just make sure they heat it up enough...

I moved to Chicago, the pizza capital of the world, 2 years ago and I still crave Georgio's almost daily. Probably because it's not really pizza, it's just a slice of delicious. I recommend the black bean. Georgio's used to be an end of the night place for me, and I guess it still is, but since I find myself in East Lansing only for family events anymore, the 3am stumble to Georgio's has been replaced by the 3pm stopping in and getting it to go so I can enjoy it back in Chicago. It's just as delicious in the waking hours as it is on the way home from the bar!

This Georgio's just doesn't taste as good as the one under the garage.

Really great selection of toppings, so you can get what you want and get what others want too. It's not the absolute best pizza I've ever eaten, but it's good. Cheap too - if you order by the slice it should only cost about $3 per slice, and if you're eating more than one slice you've got problems.
(4)Misi P.
We eat Georgio's in our office a lot and one slice will do the trick. The pizza comes in all kind of great combinations like the black bean pizza or chicken and spinach - there is a wide selection of different kinds of pizzas that you can order up by the slice. This location is where the old Arby's used to be, and admittedly, I like the original location on Charles a little better, but this one is cool too.
